Fun Walk 2024


What is the Fun Walk?
The Fun Walk Trust, a registered, encourages participating charities to organise a sponsored walk during September, to raise money for their causes. The organising charity will add bonus funds over and above any money that is raised by participants! Further information can be found on their website.


What are we raising money for?
Over the next six months, Beavers are going to be raising money for the Cinnamon Trust for their Community Impact staged activity badge; Cubs are looking into ways to support endangered species for their Stage 2 badge; and Scouts are working towards their World Faiths activity badge.
Following our fundraising efforts, we want to make sure that all sections enjoy a treat. We are raising this money to help to pay towards three trips, in early 2025, when we reach our fundraising goals.


We want to make sure that we maximise the sponsorship that our youth members and adult volunteers collect. For this reason, we are collecting donations directly via our bank account. In doing this, we avoid additional fees from JustGiving and other such providers.

Our recommended sponsorship is £5 per kilometre (as a group, we will be walking 2km on the following dates):
