Scouts runs for young people aged 10.5 to 14 years. During our Scout meetings, we focus on developing skills and finding out more about how things work, through the huge array of badges available

Each week, Scouts do something different, with activities such as fire bushcraft, climbing, hiking, and tracking.

Our Scouts are rarely found indoors, and when they are it is likely to be because they are planning their next adventure!

4th Billericay Scouts meet on Friday evenings at 4th Billericay Scout Group HQ.

Meeting times

Scouts wear a shirt, on which their badges are sewn, and a Group Scarf. See the Uniform page for details. When we're away from our usual meeting place, we'll be in our blue polo shirts or hoodies.

When Scouts are invested into the Troop, they will start to receive badges to show their achievement. There are a few different types of badges for Scouts to earn, such as activity badges and challenge awards. These should be sewn onto Scouts' shirts, and you can see where these should go by helpful placement image.

Uniform

Within our Scout Troop we have three Patrols. While most of our activities are as one big group (Troop), sometimes our Patrols do different things, led by a Patrol Leader.

Supporting our Troop is a team of volunteer leaders and young leaders, who help us to enjoy the many activities we take part in each year.
