Our Community Impact award

In May, we were invited to visit the lifeboat station at the end of Southend Pier, where we were told all about the crucial work volunteers for the RNLI do for our community.

As well as fundraising for the RNLI, we decided to create posters to share with our local community, to help to encourage people to think about the dangers of water and to plan ahead.

We've invited people from our local area to visit this website - and follow the link to the RNLI's site - to help to raise awareness. These were dropped through local letterboxes while we were on a litter picking hike.

Our hosts gave us information about water safety; stories about some of the challenges they face; and of course let us have a look at their equipment!
